Joseph Swartz Obituary

Joseph Q. Swartz (AKA The General, The Man, The Myth, The Legend and The Mayor of Rene Ct) Age 75, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at his residence. He was a 1965 graduate of Bishop Ready High School. Retired from Otis Elevator with 40 years of service as a member of the IUEC Local 37. He was always willing to help everyone. Preceded in death by father, William Swartz, and brother, William Swartz. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Cindy, mother, Mary Swartz, children, Joe Swartz, Cynde (Dave) Whitt, Tony (Chantel) Swartz and Kelly (Glenn) Bell, grandchildren, Samantha, Aubrey, Jeffrey, Ryan (Margot), Jaret, Brendan, Taylor, CJ, Kasey and Josh, sister, Rosemary Longberry, numerous other family and friends. Private family arrangements have been completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, you make a donation to the James Cancer Research in Joe's name.
