Virginia Louise (Crabtree) Beesler

Beesler Virginia (Crabtree) Beesler, 94, of Columbus Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2017. Virginia was born on June 28, 1922 to parents Charles and Violet Crabtree. She grew up in Stockdale, Ohio and graduated from Stockdale High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Nelson, and celebrated 75 years with him on May 23, 2016. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to cook, crochet and help people. She worked at Lazarus and was a Gold Star Member and a Turnerette. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith and was a longtime member of The Church Next Door (formerly Lincoln Village). She's preceded in death by both parents, sisters Wilma Miller and Opal Stonell, brothers Jim, Homer and Bill, sons Jim and Chuck and grandson, Craig. She is survived by her loving husband, Nelson; brothers, Charles (Cathy) and Art (Dottie) Crabtree; son, Michael (Sandi Wiley) Beesler; daughter in law, Hilda: grandchildren, Michael, Susan Shaltry, Kristin Yerkes, Mike, Jennifer, Staci, Scott and Michelle; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at The Church Next Door, 5755 Feder Road, Columbus, OH 43228 Monday, January 23 4-7 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24 where service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery 6959 W. Broad Street, Galloway, OH 43119. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church Next Door. Arrangements completed at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St.
